Q: Last year on QVC I saw a snowman lawn ornament that was a snow maker, do you know anything about this item?
I was not able to buy it at that time, but have been thinking about it for this year. Only I can't seem to find it anywhere, even on QVC. If you have one could you tell me who made it.

A: HSN shopping just had it on sale the other day. It was a snowman small or large and the snow blew out of his top hat he was holding. So go to their website for information.

Q: Trying to locate a Christmas ornament bought years ago at Ace Hardware Stores. A fishing snowman that moves.?
They came in a santa and an elf and reindeer version also. You could attach any ornament to the end of the fishing pole and the snowman's rope arms would turn and crank your ornament up and down like it's really fishing. I would love to be able to replace this, for it's been a family favorite. I don't have the box it came in anymore but inprinted on the motor it says capricorn electronics ltd. Any help locating this would be greatly appreciated.

A: You could try doing a search on eBay for fishing santa ornament. You could also try contacting the company and ask them about information since they may have resources others may not. Their website is listed below. Actually, there seems to be one listed on ebay. I have included the link below. Its listed as animated fishing santa electric christmas ornament, and the item description says it was made by Capricorn Electronics

Q: Best website to shop for christmas decorations?
I've already been to collectionsetc.com and found lots of christmas items (wreaths, snowmen, ornaments, etc.) and I wanted to know if anyone has any other great sites that sell items to decorate your home with for christmas? thanks =) Not a huge fan of Ebay by the way.

A: http://www.Bronners.com Bronners is located in Southwest Michigan and is probably the world's largest Christmas store. They have nearly everything. If you are near Frankenmuth, it is worth the drive. Other stores include Garden Ridge, Hobby Lobby and Michaels. edit: Here is a new site, I do not know anything about them http://www.russellrhodes.com/

Q: If you had to pick just one favorite Christmas ornament and/or decoration, what would it be?
I collect Snowmen and I just love them. Probably, because they remind me of my childhood in NC BEFORE being whisked away to Texas... I have snowmen everywhere - wreaths, garland, mantle, window sills, floor and bar. They're so pretty and pretty much color coordinated. But, if I had to pick one decoration to keep forever, I would keep my small nativity scene. What would you keep?

A: When my Mom passed Nov./04, the funeral home gave me a gold star with her name, dob, and dod on it. I'll treasure it forever and it goes near the top of the tree every year.

Q: set of 12 snowmen ornaments on pg.39 in Christmas2008 book from ltd commodities?

A: They sound adorable. You are thinking of purchasing them?

Q: How do I stop Christmas globe from fogging up????
I want a (Airblown Snow Globe-Snowman and Tree-4 Ft.) lawn ornament but where I live Pa, they fog up and you can't see in the globe. Any ideas how to de-fog? dumb ? I know

A: OMG..those things are SO white trash!! Don't waste your money on that stuff. Think classy and more elegent unless of course you live in a trashy neighborhood.

Q: Where can I get replacement fan/motor for inflatable lawn ornaments?
We have several large inflatable snowmen, penguins, Santas, etc., and it seems the fan-motors are only good for one season! I hate to throw 'em out, if I could just replace the fan-motors! But search on "fan-motor for inflatable lawn ornament" and all you get is a few laughs.

A: That's a tough one. Can you take the motor out? If so it may have a manufacturer's name on it. If so you can look them up to see if they have replacement motors. You could also bring it to an electric motor repair shop. Chances are though, that it is a very inexpensive motor and not worth repairing. They may be able to suggest an alternative.

Q: What's some stuff that represents the holidays?
I'm doing a Christmas ornament for Geometry and I need to draw some pictures of stuff that represents Christmas holidays. I've already got a snowflake, a present, a cross, Santa Claus, a star, a Christmas tree, a Dear Santa letter, baby Jesus, a candle, a snowman, and a mistletoe. I just need one more. Any ideas?

A: reindeer angel cookies and milk sleigh

Q: About how many baseball related ornaments do you have on your Christmas tree?
I have a few, like 2 from the World Series, 1 is a snowman with a yankees jeresey on, 2 that have yankees logos, and one with a picture of a-rod.

A: None. Several football ones though. I had never thought to get a baeball one now i will have to go online to find one of my favorite team. What a great thought for a Holliday gift that will be for my friends as well. Thanks for your help and have a great Holiday.

Q: If you have an ornament(decoration) on your vehicle's radio antenna, what kind is it?
Just replaced the old Snowman w/earmuffs because husband got me a new one. New Snowman has a green garland scarf and Christmas lights. I think they are sold at "Jack in the Box" but not sure. The old Snowman couldn't see or speak anymore-eyes and mouth got blown away! Lots easier to locate the vehicle in any parking lot with a decoration on the antenna.

A: I have a flag of the Nordic Cross, in the colors of the former Independent Republic of Ingria (which is now St. Petersburg, Russia). People hate this and I get a lot of grief wherever I go. But I am the Third Earl of Acquitaine, and we have a long and proud tradition, and despite the carnage, the criminality, and the conduct of war as a commercial enterprise, I am not ashamed one bit.

Q: Please Read!!! This is just start...just tell me how im doing?
“Will you marry me?” “Oh my God! Of course I will marry you.” They walked away from the huge Christmas tree in Times Square knowing that they would live happily ever after. We were on our way home from picking out Christmas tree. The tree strapped to the top of the car, Christmas carols blaring on the radio, Charlie Brown Christmas special will be coming on soon. My mom, my brother (Brennan) and I would unite the tree and bring into the house. Then we would start decorating. We always had to start out with colorful lights, then the purchased ornaments, and then those classroom arts and crafts marshmallow snowmen marshmallow ornaments. Then last but not least, the star would go on top. After we finished decorating the tree my mom would make us, hot chocolate and I would try to get my brother to play with me. I would make him all sorts of promises… Thanks :) oops sorry Its a game of Barbies I used to play when i was little and Ken asks Barbie to get marriend and she says yes I didnt pick the topic my teacher did lol

A: What exactly do the first three lines of this have to do with anything else? Also it should read - My Mom, My brother Brennan, and I would UNTIE... It looks pretty good, I'm guessing it's some sort of creative writting story?

Q: How do I deal with my in-laws when they borrowed something and now refuse to give it back?
Since my husband and I got married 12 years ago I have been buying snowflake ornaments here and there. Mostly I buy them after the holidays when they are on sale but sometimes before when I find ones I really like. The range of them go from inexpensive to more expensive. The last few years my FIL and his wife (2nd marriage) have hosted a "Snowflake Games" every January. They invite all their friends over and have organized games with prizes, eating, etc. It has become a big deal. And every year they borrow all my snowflake ornaments, snowman decorations, etc to totally transform their home into this wintry wonderland theme. I have never minded boxing up my snow themed decorations for them to borrow. Last year they took 15 of the snowflake ornaments, strung them on fishing line and hung them from some track lighting in their basement. It did look festive and fun. And they have stayed there all year. My husband's step-mom is kind of kooky and if she loves something she does for a themed party in their basement then she tends to leave it up for good. So my snowflakes have hung there for the last 10 months. I have heard from others that I may not get them back but I just couldn't imagine someone would borrow something and purposely never give it back. So I waited... and waited... and waited. Finally, on Thanksgiving I made my husband ask his dad about them. His dad finally told him that they would like to pay for the ornaments and keep them. Really? Just told us! Didn't ask us if it was an option or request them nicely. Last time I was there I glanced at them and I think most of them are inexpensive... $3-5 a piece ornaments. But a few of them are more unique and fun and to replace now (before Christmas) would probably be up to $10. Not to mention that I would have to drive around to different stores looking for ones I like. I don't want to go to one store and buy 15 of the same snowflake. That defeats the purpose of all these years picking up a few each year. How do I handle this? How much do I tell them? Oh. I also feel bad because my FIL is a wonderful man who has helped us finish our own basement and comes here to fix things for us whenever we need him. He will never take money but we do pay for a dinner out for him probably 2-3 times a month hoping to repay him in that way for all his work around our house. I think my biggest beef is that they didn't ask. They just hung on to those 15 ornaments for 10 months and then it was up to us to request them back only to be told we weren't going to get them. Please, serious help answers please! This is family and I put family on a high regard. I will not cut off contact with them. I will not jeopardize our relationship over it. I just want to know what way I should respond and if there is a way to nicely voice our hurt feelings? Plus! What do we do when they ask for our decorations again THIS January? Forgot to mention... we are estimating that the replacement cost at an average of $6-7 a piece would be $100. One suggestion that a friend had was to tell my husband's step-mom "Merry Christmas" and call it her Christmas prestent. Then take the money I would have had in my budget to buy the ornaments.

A: I like your thinking about giving it to her as a Christmas gift and use the money to replace what you please.. That way you can let it go and move forward without resentment.

Q: Blank ornaments to write names on?
OK so we get to put up trees at work this year and I would like to see if I could talk management into allowing us to put ornaments on the trees with all of the associate names on them. I'm willing to pay out of pocket somewhat in the name of being festive. Question is, where can I find a bulk of blank ornaments? I know of Oriental Trading where I can get a dozen for about 15 dollars (plus shipping). But that's still expensive considering that there are probably 40-50 associates in the store. I'd have to buy 4 dozen, probably 5 dozen, depending on how many seasonals are hired at the time. So, besides oriental trading...do you know of any other places I could find what I'm looking for? Just bulk ornaments that are like a snowman or whatever that can be written on with a permanent marker. Thanks!

A: you could probably find some on ebay. (: if not, go to your local arts and crafts store, and see if they have them. if not, ask them to recommend somewhere that does! hope it helps! (:
