When is a pine tree just a tree & a Christmas tree a religious symbol of one's faith? Is a blow up Frosty the snowman a religious symbol or just a fat snowman with a smirk? Does one candle in 8 windows mean it's for Hanukkah or is it just decoration? Did you just make snow angels on yellow snow or did you just flatten a squirrel underneath?
A: They are all religious symbols and have no biblical background!

A: I would try to collect some metal holiday cookie tins and put your more fragile ornaments in them.

What is your favorite Christmas / Holiday ornament? WHY? Who gave it to you?
A: We have a small Santa tree decoration. He used to be part of a set of 3 and his suit and hat were glittery. Our sons were allowed to put a glittery santa on the tree as children. Over the years 2 of the santas were lost and the boys used to argue over who "got the honour" each year. He is now about 20 years old very grubby and has lost most of his glitter. Our sons are grown men and still love to be the one who puts him on the tree.

A: There is a site called personalize.com. They have great ornaments for all ocassions. We got a fireplace looking ornament with all our names put on the stockings. Looks like it was made by hand. Probably was, i'm guessing.

Q: where can i find those new round holiday coke bottles?
There are these new bottles that coca cola has distributed that are round like a Christmas ornament, and have the holiday designs on them. I am a bottle collector, and currently I have bottles from every continent except Africa and Europe I have looked everywhere for this type of coke bottle, and i cannot find it. where might these bottles be sold?
A: I found some at my local Wal-Mart for only a dollar a bottle. They were in a big carboard box by the registers.

I want to make cloth christmas trees and cloth ornaments for patients/children in the hospitals.Who can't be home for the holidays.To decorate their rooms.
I am helping my church with collecting gloves,hats,scarves for children,and our food drive.And our gift exchange to help buy children toys for the holidays!

Q: What are some holiday movies with a beach or tropical theme?
I would like to pair holiday movies with a beach towel and tropical Santa ornaments. I need appropriate movies for 2 girls (ages 11 and 6), and a boy (age 8).
A: That's a tough one! It's not holiday-related, but "Summer Rental", w/John Candy, is pretty funny (there's a little kid in it). "Captain Ron" is really great! There is, of course, "The Santa Clause" (I and II), Look Who's Talking Now (W/Kirstie Allie & John Travolta- the dogs talk and part of it takes place at Christmas). My kid always loved those old "Clay-mation" movies, like "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and several others like it.
If you like Will Farrell, there's always "Elf", and "Jingle All the Way" (w/Arnold, Sinbad and the late Phil Hartman), is VERY funny!
My personal fave is "A Christmas Story", based on the book by Jean Shepherd. They show it on TNT every Christmas for 24 hrs.! It's great because it's hilarious and touching and both adults & kids can enjoy it.
Someone on another question mentioned two greats I forgot: "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (maybe scary for your 6-year-old?) and "Christmas Vacation", w/Chevy Chase...a true classic!
