Q: Traveling to Australia this summer- what unique gifts should I buy?
Actually, it's my son who is traveling to Australia on a student trip. I'm trying to come up with some ideas of unique gifts he could bring back. Besides the boomerang and the didgerido, what else is Australia famous for? Are there any "must buys" from Australia?
A: an original AFL footy called a sherrin football and a footy jumper, forget about all that other rubbish like cork hats and boomerangs none of us actually use any of that crap its just junk we sell to tourists,if you don't like the footy idea how about some clothes by Aussie designers at least you can actually use them.
Q: Where can i find unique gifts for my friend?
is there a site or store that has unique gifts for my friend? shes 17 and asian. She doesn't like jewlery, she loves shoes and bags.
oh my bad. didnt mean to put it in weddings.
A: You can try findgift.com. I don't know if they will have something specifically for a 17 year old Asian girl, but they do have lots of great gift ideas. I love the site.
Q: What are some shopping sites with fun unique gifts/gift ideas?
Im stuck with my christmas shopping, need some unique gifts/gift ideas!
Also- I want to get a gift that theyll remember for more than a month
A: http://www.giftweblog.com/
Q: What are some appropriate/ creative/unique/inexpensive gifts to get for parent's gifts for my wedding?
I'm getting married. My fiance and I want to get our parents thank you gifts for all they've done for us. What are some suggestions of gifts we can get them? We'd prefer one gift for each couple (his parents and my parents). We're open to something creative or unique but we want it appropriate, preferably no more than $60 and something we can order easily. We're 3 weeks away!!
A: Something VERY simple and VERY low-budget would be a personalized handkerchief for each parent. For the personalization, think of something that really reflects your relationship with that parent. Like on my mothers, I may put "My Mother, My Best Friend" and for my dad I would put something like "ToThe First Man Who Had My Heart". It's a fitting gift since they will probably cry at least a few tears at your wedding, and its something sentimental they can keep close by forever.
Q: What are some creative and unique gifts you can MAKE for people?
List off any and all ideas you can think of. Things that are special, creative, memorable... =) Of course, if I decide to use your idea, you'll get the 10 pts.
A: Something thats particularly memorable for me is when a group of my friends made a really card/book in which they glued in heaps of photos and really memorable personal things. They each then wrote their own messages and also got all of our other friends to write something as well. It somethings that you treasure forever and can read again and again years later.
Another idea is to do a series of small paintings on canvas. You don't even have to be much of an artistic person to do it either. I like getting three canvas boards or frames and painting designs and things that match their room or whatever.
Q: What unique gifts can I give to a friend for her personal wedding shower?
I'm too shy to give lingerie. I don't want to give her the old stand-by of scented candles or body lotion. Any unique ideas?
A: When 2 of my best friends got married I bought them a bunch of board games and card games. All of our friends get together and play games all the time and I thought it was the eprfect gift for those two. They loved it. It wasn't another personalized photo album... Not that those aren't nice, but you can really only handle so many... You could always get a gift certificate for Victoria Secret.. let her pick something out of her own. Seriously think of something they like doing together and base your gift on that. Are they movie junkies get them a supply of movie tickets... Generally after the wedding you can't afford to go out much. There's tons of fun personal gifts you could give!
Q: What is a good online store that sells quirky unique gifts?
I'm trying to find sites that sell those gifts that are so original that everyone remembers your gifts for years to com.... I've found a few quirky gifts online ( www.fullbloomtea.com etc) but does anyone else have any good sites?
A: http://www.thinkgeek.com/
Check out the cubical warfare section for the USB rocket launcher. Wild stuff.
Q: Where can I find unique gifts for Red Ribbon Week?
I'm looking for affordable, yet quality products to distribute to staff and clients as a way to say "thank you." Especially products that can be personalized or that I can add my logo to.
A: My school celebrates Red Ribbon Week by hanging posters, banners and balloons around the school and handing out fun promotional items to the students- much like what you want to do. We have been using a company called Positive Promotions for many years and they are the best in the industry. They have an absolutely huge selection of Red Ribbon Week merchandise and if they don't carry what you're looking for, they'll find it for you! Even better, they guarantee the lowest price around! Should have everything you need including satin ribbons, buttons, pencils, and Red Ribbon Week-themed silicone bracelets!
Q: What are some really unique gifts for me to give to my friends?
I need to give my friends all different christmas presents, they are from 13- 16, and i want gifts that are under $20. They like music, reading, games, and basically anything that teenage girls would like... thanks! i LOVE amazon.com, and i do not like e-bay, or specialty sites work just as well. THANKS!!!!
A: OK, so amazon doesn't charge shipping on orders over $25, except for unusual items or items not sold by amazon.
Here's a place to get ideas for a gift, then you can buy it anywhere.. it's a personality based gift search tool for teen girls and teen boys:

Q: Where can I find unique Russian gifts like the babushka nesting dolls or the pretty lacquer boxes?
I am trying to find a gift for my mom and she loves gifts from different ethnicities? I recently saw my friend with some Russian stuff like the nesting dolls which are all hand painted and very beautiul and lacquer boxes which are like little gems painted beautifully. My mom would love these but I am having a hard time trying to find these nesting dolls and lacquer boxes.
A: I have actually come across many different sites that sell Russian Lacquer Boxes and Matryoshka Dolls (nesting dolls, but Matryoshka is the actual name for these cute Babushka dolls). Many of the sites are very expensive, however when I cam across http://lilianainternational.com I found a very large variety and great selection of the Lacquer Boxes and Matryoshka dolls at very competitive prices. I would suggest checking it out and I am sure no matter what you get there your mom will be very happy!
Q: What are some unique ways to present gifts for a gift exchange?
My brother in law always has amazing, unique ways of presenting gifts. Last year, he froze the gift in a bucket of water. When his recipient unwrapped his gift it was an ice pick. He had to chisel out the actual gift. The year before he bought 500 envelopes, placed a gift card in one, sealed them all. Then nailed them in a wooden box. We have done scavenger hunts as well. I really need to get him this year! PLEASE HELP!
A: Take walnuts and carefully crack them open, empty the nut out of them, then insert money or small gifts, glue the nuts back together, and give them as a gift. You can put them in a nice container with the tools to crack them open, if you wish.
Q: Does anyone know of any websites for cute or unique baby gifts?
I'm looking for some websites that offer unique baby items or baby t-shirts with cute little messages on them. I have a good friend that's expecting a baby next month and I don't want to get her something that everyone else will also buy, like receiving blankets or stuffed animals. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
A: There's a website called Cafepress where you can find tons of t-shirts. Anything you're looking for! I ordered some baby stuff before from a Cafepress store called Pink Plum. You have to type in the whole url to get to it: http://www.cafepress.com/pinkplum. I recommend this store all the time because they always have different things.
The store has a baby section and I ordered a onesie that said Baby McCutie. I also ordered the teddy bear that had the matching t-shirt. It was really cute.

Q: Suggestions on unique gifts for 2 year old twins birthday?
This is for boy girl twins who will be 2 in May and live in Dallas.
I should mention that this couple also has a 4 year old daughter, so they already have a lot of toys from when she was the twins' age.
A: I would maybe look into a zoo pass or children's museum pass. I got both for X-mas gifts for my girls this past year to the Houston Zoo and Children's Museum. I have gotten soooo much use out of them.
