Q: Any ideas for extra cash for christmas gifts with bad credit history?
I need a little extra money this Christmas for gifts. Any ideas?

A: Create products online and sell them. Or sell used stuff like mentioned above.

Q: How much do you spend for Christmas gifts?
My husband and I have a budget of two hundred dollars. Our children are older so toys are out and we stopped giving gifts to relatives a long time ago, we never know what they want. Our parents get together "mine and his"every year, send the children a gift card with our Christmas card and go out to eat and see a movie.

A: Tough question, but how much will people spend on you should be the real question! I spend what I can afford at the time, sometimes its more sometimes less, this year due to circumstances probably a litle less, not through choice. I'm keeping an eye on all great deals and sales through iStorez so that I can cut down expenses as much as possible - http://www.istorez.com/shop/holiday-preview-sales

Q: What are some simple ideas for Christmas gifts?
This year I've decided to make gifts, instead of buying them for my friends (ages 17). I was thinking of possibly baking something if I find the time, what else could I do for Christmas gifts either than baking? Should I do a mini basket? I don't want to spend too much money though.

A: you can make thigns such as... scrap books. photo albums. picture frames. jewlery paint flower pots. (you can decorate all thes thigns in ways to make them relate to the person) I guess it depends on there interests ,

Q: What is a decent amount to spend on Christmas gifts?
My husband and I are not seeing eye to eye on this. He always says I spend way to much on our kids. So this year he is wanting me only to spend $500 on each of our kids. One is 15 the other is 10. I really feel they will be disappointed and I could not take that not on Christmas. The $500 is to be on gifts from us and Santa. What is the average amount people spend? If they get one big thing I couldnt get them anything else.

A: I had four children. We spent less than two hundred dollars each on them. Mine are adults now. I get them small token gifts like candle sets or desk sets and give them fifty dollars each. I still buy clothes for my two youngest ones who are 18 and 21 too. They are young enough to still need financial support from Mom and Dad. Last year I got each child a new robe, the year before was freshwater pearls for the girls and pocket watches for the guys. I buy for my Daughters-in-Law too. I would not spend five hundred dollars per child or more.

Q: what are some good christmas gifts to put in a red and black mafia/dragon living room?

A: If he likes dragons, then you are lucky! There are heaps of all sorts of dragon-related things, such as puzzles, statues, mirrors, framed prints and many more! Good luck with your shopping! Maestro

Q: What are some things that you can make to give as christmas gifts?
I don't have a lot of money to buy gifts for christmas and a few of my friends don't have a lot of money to spend either so I was thinking about getting supplies to make things to give as christmas gifts to family members. Any Ideas?

A: Take a large empty wine bottle, push a small strand of white Christmas lights into it (about 2-3 feet), and wrap a sheer gold ribbon with an ornate decoration around the neck, like frosted grapes with leaves. The dollar store carries them. They are so pretty when lit up! My cousin made me one, and I love it!

Q: Is it considered poor taste to give wedding registry gifts for Christmas?
Two of my husband's cousins (siblings) are getting married next year (in June and September). I'm trying to decide if it's in poor taste to get the couples Christmas gifts off their wedding registries. Is this taboo? Should I be getting them something more personal and individual for Christmas? What would Emily Post say?

A: No that's a great idea! When my family asks me what I want for Christmas I tell them to go to my registry! Not in poor taste at all, and it may help if they have some essentials right now rather than waiting for the Wedding day or the shower!

Q: What are some none materialistic christmas gifts?
This christmas we can only make each other gifts or "give our time" ,So i can't go to a store and buy a present, do you have any ideas of what i can make or do?

A: Baked Goods

Q: Should I give Christmas gifts to all the teachers at my son's darecare?
My son goes to a daycare which there are about 7 teachers. 4 of 7 teachers are familiar with us, should we give everyone Christmas gift. And what kind of gifts are good for them? Thank you very much for your help.

A: I would say only give a gift to the teachers that work directly with your son. And if you dont want to give a gift you arent obligated to. I used to be a daycare teacher and some parents would give small gifts (from the child) and others didnt. I would never expect it. You could do something small like a scented candle that you wrap in tissue paper in put in one of those tiny gift bags. Or you could fill a x-mas coffee mug from the dollar store with m&m's or some other candy. You could do a $5 gift card for the nearest coffee shop (but if you do it for all 7 people that may be too much $$). You could do a gift of a new toy or book for the classroom which would go to everyone--you may need to ask the director of the daycare their policy on donating to the classroom though. Even a homemade christmas card made by your son would be nice. DONT SPEND A LOT OF MONEY if you do choose to give gifts! It is not expected!

Q: Why are people so unappreciative when it comes to Christmas gifts?
It seems that you cannot please people when it comes to Christmas. I work in a small retail store that sells fine jewelry and gifts as well as accessories. Lately we have been getting Christmas returns. The store policy is exchanges only. It just seems that people cannot be pleased with the gifts they receive. I could understand if they got clothes that didn't fit but be happy with your gift. If I get something I don't like I politely smile and say thank you. I would never think of saying "It's not me, can I have the receipt". Some people really go out of their way to try make people happy and can't. I am not a religious person but Christmas has just turned ito this commercial fiasco where people run around trying to please people with expensive gifts that they end up hating anyway.

A: people are spoiled....it really sucks

Q: How much money are you going to spend on Christmas gifts? And are you a male or a female?
I'm doing a research project for my stats class and would like to know how much money males versus females spend on Christmas gifts!

A: I am a single mom so have to be careful with my money but I usually spend about 400-500 on Christmas shopping. I would suggest including peoples economic demographics in your research project. If I made more money I would spend a lot more...

Q: How to wrap or package Christmas gifts?
I want to wrap the Christmas gifts so that they would be more special. How do I do them that the gift would really be presentable?

A: You can wrap anything, as long as it is in a box or has a square form ( ie a book). It depends on the recipient. If it is family or friends, you can use any kind of multi colored, funny paper. The ribbon would have to be one colored. If it is a co worker, or the boss, then I would suggest a one colored wrapper, ie blue, and a one colored ribbon, ie white or light gold. For your boyfriend, you could use the same paper as for your family, but you can also use a more romantic onr. For example, if you use a paper with santa, or with reindeer, you could change it and put something with mistletoe in it, or with candles. If it has a square form or is in a box, you can wrap it like this: 1) put the wrapping paper on the table with the colored part facing the table. 2) put the gift on the paper. 3)cut the paper imaging that it will have to cover the whole gift. 4) turn the gift upside down and, starting from the wider part, take both ends of the paper. glue it where they meet. 5) turn the gift over. 6) take the sides of the paper and fold them around the gift so they look like the gifts second skin. 7) lgue where they meet. 8) put the ribbon under the gift and tie it in the upper part of it.

Q: What would be good Christmas gifts for my 6 yr old boy?
He has a b-day coming before Christmas too and I do not know what to get him. Last yr he played in a box and did not seem to care about the gifts! LOL

A: Hi, My 6 year old was given a Relaxation CD which I play at bedtime and it has him RACING for bedtime to listen to it! The tracks are only 3-4 minutes long, and it takes him on a journey using his imagination. So positive and relaxing, with a soothing voice and lovely background music! A gift that lasts all year AND improves bedtime and taps into his creativity - happy mum! :-) http://www.relaxkidsnet.com The site has samples you can listen too. My son has the Superheroes CD

Q: What can I do with unwanted Christmas gifts instead of throwing them away?
What can I do with unwanted Christmas gifts? Every year I receive these little thought gifts that I know I will never use and I haven't the heart to throw them away. Any ideas?

A: ANY Charity will take them. Some even come to your home regularly and pick up unwanted items. Big Brothers and Big Sisters picks up regularly in my area, about every 2 weeks. Another good place to donate them would be a women's shelter or homeless shelter in general. Remember, just because you don't want it doesn't mean that no one wants it. Believe me, someone out there would love to have something you find useless.

Q: Poll-What are the differences between Christmas presents and Christmas gifts?
How would you compare Christmas presents and Christmas gifts, how are they alike and how are they different?

A: Presents are more generic and gifts are more heart felt....idk. I think the only difference is where you are from and what you grew up saying.
