Q: Anniversary gift?
Our one-year anniversary is at the end of July and I have no idea what to get him. His birthday is a couple days before our anniversary and I'm painting him a picture of Hawaii. I'm on a tight budget but I don't want the gift to look cheap, any suggestions? He likes the outdoors and sports.

I told my fiance that I was going to get cowboy tickets for our anniversary. Instead of saying WOW, he asked where the seats where, and when i said at the very very top, he wasn't excited anymore. They're practically none left, and those are the only ones we could afford. He loves the cowboys so I wanted it to be the best gift, and we've never had a date, day, or anniversary like that, but instead he made me feel awful because I couldn't give him good seats. Was I right to get upset that he didn't really seem interested.
A: I think you were in the right. The fact that he gets to go with his wife should have been more than enough. You could have given him a box of thumb tacks and he should have loved it because i think couples should be happy they are making it to anniversaries and still love each other. While he is a sleep, hit him in his man area.

I was wondering if you needed to buy your parents a gift for their anniversary... I thought you should, but I didnt understand why? Because, after all its initially ment just for them, the couple to celebrate their marriage day, etc.

A: Well, how old are you? If you old enough to afford some jewelery or something, there is nothing wrong with that. But if you are a teenager, the best gift you can give them is a few hours alone ;)

A: Go buy some cheap candles and flowers, make them dinner, and set it up for them, that is if you have keys to their home and they aren't going out. Set up a romantic evening for them and then leave. Or make them up a cute picnic basket, that is if they live in an area that is nice during the middle of the summer. You could make a little photo album or scrapbook for them.

Our anniversary is in two weeks and I don't have any ideas outside of the tradtional things you might give your spouse for an anniversary gift. A: I think you are traditionally supposed to give something 'paper'...lol...for you first gift. I forgot what the symbolism is..but it's kind of cute. On a website I was looking at for you, they said the tradional was 'paper' and the modern was 'clocks'. I actually think the clock idea is kind of cool. Like if you get a nice one for the living room especially for his style decor...it symbolizes some cool things....you love spending time with him...you love sharing your life with him...you are in this for the long run...whichever. It's all nice.

A: Assemble a photo album with pictures showing the 25 years of your parents' marriage --- Pictures should include photos of their wedding, children, grandchildren, friends; trips taken together, homes lived in, etc. Also include stories or notes from you, any siblings and your parents' friends. You can get a silver plated photo album to put it all in with their names engraved on the front. It may not be the most expensive gift you'll find, but it will be the most memorable and meaningful.

Hi, trying to get ideas for some inexpensive gifts I could put together for my sister and brother-in-laws 2nd anniversary. I'm on an extreme tight budget, but want to put a basket together for them. I've already thought of home-made chocolate covered pretzels and a bottle of wine. They have a new born baby and I also thought of a night of babysitting coupon. I think you should do something personal, like making him an awesome scrapbook with pictures of the last two years together. You will have to print a lot of pictures of you two, so I think its a good thing to give him for the two year anniversary (you guys have alot of history together, therefore you should have more pics!). Its a perfect gift: Cheap yet priceless, something personalized that no one else can give him, and its not something "standard" like a boring poloshirt. Thats my best idea, hope it helps!

I belong to a Paranormal research group (ghost hunters). This saturday is our 1yr anniversary and Id like to give everyone a gift. (Im one of the leaders of the group) Something commemorative. I thought about a mug or a pin or something with our logo on. Or even a patch for an equipment bag or jacket. Anyone got any ideas?
