Q: I'm searching for ideas for low budget, scary outdoor Halloween decorations?
I do have some outdoor decorations but I'd like to do more of a "scene". I have some tombstones and a skeleton (that looks as though it's coming out of the ground). Any ideas?

Q: What are some easy and cheap Halloween OUTDOOR decorations for a kids party?
I'm looking to decorate my back yard for a kids (2 year old) Halloween party. I don't have many trees in the middle of the yard so I can't really hang things. I have a few signs I am going to post, three tables with Halloween tablecloths and pumpkins and gords (sp?) as decorations but don't know what else to do. I don't want anything scary. Would scarecrows be alright or is that not really Halloweeny? Also, do you think I need to decorate everyroom? I decorated the dining room with a Hallween table cloth and a few things hanging from the chandelier and decorated the family room with streamers and a centerpiece. But, I don't really plan on decorating the playroom except maybe a few things hanging from the ceiling. Is it necessary to decorate the kitchen? Thanks!

A: i didnt have time to read the entire question, sorry. ): but for the outdoors, the big pumpkin bags filled with leaves are awesome. :]

Q: What should I do with pumpkins used as outdoor decorations?

A: I hope you weren't planning on eating them!! If they've been carved up, no way should you eat them. If are still hard and sound and you haven't had deep freezes, then maybe they are still edible. You'll know when you cut them open. The seeds should be fresh, the flesh properly colored and still smelling........good. Hard to call pumpkin flesh good smelling.......maybe non rotten would be better. However if you are not up for eating them, take a shovel and split them open and then bury them. Exposing the internal flesh speeds decomposition. Can you save the seeds? Well, if they are not rotten you can clean and roast them. Seeds to grow next year's pumpkins..????.......if they are hybrids there's no guarantee what they'll look like next year since their genetic info is all screwy.

Q: What product can we use to stick decorations to outdoor painted stucco in humid Florida that is removable?
We're hosting our 2nd annual Halloween party & need to get decorations to stick to the outside of our house without damaging the stucco -- we've tried everything.... duct tape, double sided carpet tape...... need suggestions, please!

A: What about the wonderful Sticky Tack... We use this for alot of hanging up projects at school to save the paint on the walls and works outside on the concrete walls too. You can pretty much find this everywhere, Walmart, Target and Fred Meyers. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know where I can find Christmas trains for outdoors. Not garden trains, bigger. Not the kind that are all lit up, but do not move. We've checked Lowes, Diamonds and on-line, but haven't found the right wording, I guess.

Q: Outdoor wedding - what is your backup plan for rain? Decorations?
I have a wedding planned for later this year. The outdoor venue we have chosen is gorgeous and does not need any decorations. We have a backup plan but the room is not as pretty as our outdoor venue. Just curious if other brides have a backup decoration plans for their indoor location? Or is everyone hoping for the best? I do not want to do a tent for the outdoor location b/c the cost would be way too much for a 30 minute ceremony.

A: We had an outdoor fall wedding and had the same dilemma. Our rain backup was the small lodge where we were to hold the reception (already set up with tables for dinner). We decided to hope for the best and not worry about "what ifs". If it had rained we would have had our guests help us move tables and improvised from there. Good Luck!

Q: how to make wooden outdoor halloween yard decorations?

A: All you need is a cross of some sort to hang clothing off stuff with something some straw etc. to make a Scarecrow and someting that will come out a bit round for a head with a hat on it. Also you can use styrofoam it cuts easily to make a headstone paint it I am not sure what paint will work on stryofoam. You can use a jig saw to make things from plywood try to keep the patterns simple. I have seen such alot they cut the shape out then attach a longboard with a point they put into the ground for things like ghosts then paint them up pretty simple stuff looks good You can take any pattern you like keep it simple and print it out then put cross marks on it at inches and then scale it up to feet keep in mind you need to keep it within the size of the wood you cut. Most wood that is not too thick is pretty easy to cut with a jig saw if you are patient. Some plastics could possibly work also. All you need is to attach something to the back to hold it up that can go into the ground to stabilize and hold it up. Be sure to use paint for outdoors to seal the wood and so it will last not be apt to fade out or wash off if it rains.

Q: Help! I need inexpensive outdoor reception decorations - at night -white, black & deep red?
The bride wants a white tent with candle light. The wedding is at night in an open area without trees except for the tree line on one side. We were thinking white paper lanterns? White lights and candles and torches - but we need ....centerpieces - and remember it needs to be inexpensive yet tasteful! Sounds like we need a miracle :)

A: White christmas tree lights and luminaries. Made with paper bags and candles. Just stick with white. Let the black and white come out in the dresses and tuxes.

Q: Outdoor wedding decorations?
I need to set up outdoor decor 2 days before the ceremony - mainly tulle and ribbons for the arbor, deck railings & EZ up tent. Just curious if it lightly rains after the set up, how does tulle/ribbon react? Should I consider spraying with a water repellent spray? Anyone use ribbon stiffing spray - saw at a craft store. Any thoughts/ideas.

A: light rain and tulle aren't enemies. it will dry out. since it's meshy and woven it won't show any water marks when it dries ribbon.. depending on the color and matterial might show water spots but if the rain covers the whole ribbon it will dry and shouldn't show marks. do you know what the ribbon is made of? i wouldn't spray it with repellent unless you test a swatch first to make sure it doesn't make the ribbon whicky and get it gunky or funky

Q: Should I add candy cane lights to my outdoor decorations this year? ?
I am thinking of whether I should put on those candy canes I bought last year or not. I love a lot of Christmas lights. However, there is still nobody who has made any decoration in front of their apartment in the entire housing complex. Right now the apartment looks like this from the outside, and it's already very bright compared to all the other apartments: http://c2.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/19/l_779026c29e2949bf98e8cebe0a274871.jpg I have a picture of the decorations I made last year. However, I added text on this picture because it was an invitation for my Italian friends to have dinner at the restaurant together last year, when I flew to Rimini (my hometown in Italy) to visit my family and friends. I strangely don't have any better picture! (maybe because I was not very happy last year for some reason and I didn't want to take Christmas pictures lol!) Of course I am not planning to put those multi-color lights on the window this year. So, what is Rino gonna choose this year? To stick the candy cane lights along the front walkway, or not? Keep in mind that I want to throw a Christmas party as well! http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/28/l_e2092c7ff94540b7a08c7f0214b5377c.jpg

A: I tend to go overboard when decorating evrey year. I like to visit lots of stores to see what the new christmas decorating trends are. http://www.christmasdecorationsstores.com

Q: Outdoor reception decorations?
I'm having a beach / tropical reception theme outdoors. Im at a loss of ideas for decorations. I want them to be very cool, as my cousin is getting married a month after me. They have to be better. I don't want anything cheesey. Any ideas or websites with beach/tropical decorations ideas? Maybe some do-it-yourself projects?

A: Oh, i did this same theme for mine. We had all of the white lights we could find with tiki torches ( not the cheap one's) and all of our guest got laid with the flower lays. It is nice to set a good atmosphere with candles and hamocks and great flowers. Congradulations and good luck.
