Q: decorations?
What are some good decorations?
balloons or no balloons?
streamers?
bows?
A: streamers are a great decoration for birthday parties but not weddings. Balloons are okay as long as they are done tastefully. Instead of streamers, iwould suggest getting tool to drape. it is inexpensive but much more appealing to the eye. bows are a good decoration as long as they are made the proper way and not just thrown together.
Q: Need ideas for decorations in a black and white fish aquarium?
I'm looking for any neat do it yourself fish tank decorations. I'm also thinking about overturning some clay pots to put as decorations in my fish tank. Does anyone know where or how I can get a black clay pot that wouldn't be harmful to fish. I'd like to do black/white decos in my fish tank but have no ideas on what else would be neat in there besides black sand or gravel mixed with white gravel.
A: This is a tricky situation because fish can be so sensitive.
I am a ceramics major, and all too often I hear stories of people planting their plants in a glazed pot, and it dying because of what leeches out of the glaze.
Rule of thumb, only buy decorations from an aquarium store. They are sure to use fish safe products. Invest in some fish safe disinfectant and always wipe down or boil in water whatever you are going to add.
This will take alot of research on your part, because even sea shells will change the ph of water.
Q: What decorations should I have for a pirate and princess party?
My friend and i are party planners and we need help, we don't really know any good decorations and the types of food to have? Could you please help us. Thanks
A: ur friend sounds like the most awesome person eva
Q: Who would the Army Decorations Board send to confirm a medal nomination?
Hi,
I was just wondering for story research purposes:
If an Army Decorations Board had to confirm an incomplete After Actions Report, and the soldier (nominated) and witnesses are already back home.
Would the Army Decorations Board assign someone locally to interview the solider or witnesses, or would someone internally (that specifically works with the board) be sent to do the interview?
If it wasn't someone internally sent, who would they send?
Sorry, if my proper terminology is off.
Thank you.
A: It's called an Informal Investigation and is conducted by a single officer who must outrank all those involved. That officer is normally tasked by his commanding officer who would be responding to a directive from the Decorations Board. His report would include statements from witnesses and confine itself to findings of fact and opinions and make recommendations buttressed by those facts and opinions. It is not done that often because most recommendations for combat decorations originate with the unit commander of the person being nominated for such an award. It works that way for other branches as well and sometimes it results in what could perceived as institutional insult. A classic example happened in the Navy when a Hospital Corpsman was recommended for award of the Medal of Honor (posthumously) for his actions in battle in Vietnam. The decorations board of the Navy knocked it down to a Navy Cross because the dead sailor in question had been in the brig before joining his Fleet Marine Force unit in Vietnam.
Q: What do people do with the decorations after a wedding reception?
I am planning a wedding on a budget. I am wondering what people do with all the decorations after a reception and if there is a place that may sell them? Like a slightly used decoration store. I would like to buy and entire lot not piece by piece if possible.
A: Try looking at the dollar stores Most people throw out their decorations or use them in their house, or sell them in yard sales.
I have never heard of that kind of store where people sell used decorations.
Q: Any ideas for decorations on gingerbread men?
I'm planning on baking several dozen gingerbread men tomorrow and am in need of a few suggestions for decorations. I've used candies such as smarties in the past, but am up for any neat suggestions.
A: pull n' peel twizzlers are good for things like smiles. kissables are good for buttons or anywhere you want color. jelly belly's are cute because you can get so many different colors. or you could put a little icing where you want something and the sprinkle some colored sugar (like pixi stix) so it sticks.
Q: What are the different decorations used for Belly or Indian dance?
For belly dance, is there any other decorations used apart from the usual Gold or silver coins?
A: Belly dance has many different costuming elements and many different costumes based on it's different styles. In fact the coin costumes are generally among the least authentic and in many cases the least interesting.
For nightclub/cabaret styles the costuming usually consists of a two piece bedlah (suit) which is frequently covered in beads and sequins with lots of draping fringe along the bust and the entire bottom of the belt. Here's some examples:

There are also one piece dresses also covered in beads, sequins, and fringe.

Then there's more folkloric styles of costuming such as baladi, saaidi, melaya leff, etc... that feature usually a dress of some sort and a hip wrap such as these:

There are also styles such as American Tribal Style (ATS) which features costumes like the ones available at this site.

Of course you can break down costuming variations further into specific styles like Egyptian Nightclub, Lebanese Nightclub, American Nightclub, Turkish Nightclub, etc... The same types of clasifications can be broke down among the more folkloric styles as well. Such as the Saaidi, baladi, hagala, etc... This is in no way a complete guide to costuming just a very brief post to explain the differences between the costuming of bellydance and Indian dance.
Indian costuming is quite different from this. The closest is that of Bollywood/Bhangara style dances. Sometimes Tribal Style Bellydancers will use these costuming elements as well.

Q: Christmas decorations-What kind of decorations do you decorate your house with for Christmas time?
I make my own decorations for my room with glitter, glue colored pencils and the use of my mind and the internet, my room looks beatiful and it sparkles when the sunlight shine's through the window.
A: We put up a tree. We have a bunch of handmade ornaments that were passed down from my mother-in-law. Stockings go up on the mantle and a wreath goes on the door.
I also put up a nativity with a little village and little village people. Then Catzilla (my cat) attacks the village people. It's our own funny tradition.
Q: Do I Need to HAve Decorations and plants in my fish tank?
Just Wondering do i have to have decorations and that in my tank or can it be just gravel and some stones and that, im wondering cause my female guppies are gonna have babies im looking for more room in the tanks. ANy Ideas.
Where do u get live plants and are they expensive?
A: no you do not need to have declorations but if you are not going to get a breeder tank for the babies they will need hiding places other wise the adult fish will eat them
and the one that said a rock so they could lay their eggs is lost gupies are live bearers they don't lay eggs
if you want live plants make sure they are true aquatic plants not the ones wal-mart sells
you can look at www.liveaqueria.com for some ideas of plants if you have put salt in the tank forget the plants the salt will kill them
Q: How do I stick sugarpaste decorations on a iced celebration cake?
I've bought some delicate sugarpaste icing decorations for my daughters christening cake, I was just wondering how I would stick them on? What would I use? Thanks
A: A little icing sugar made to a paste with some lemon juice or water should do the trick.
Q: How do I attach fondant decorations to a fondant covered cake?
I have a cake covered in fondant and am now trying to put decorations also made of fondant on the cake. What is the best way to make them stick on?
A: I agree royal icing, but I just make mine with 1 egg white and about 1 and 1/4 cups of powdered sugar. Thats all, I dont usually add the lemon juice that most recipes call for, when you eat the cake and the fondant decorations (as some people do) the royal icing that you use tastes really sour and lemony then. So thats why I just use the egg white and sugar.
Q: How can you remove the decorations or printing from a t-shirt?
I have many good t-shirts but they have some ugly decorations or advertisements on them. Is there any way to remove them without damaging them?
A: Go to store that does what your asking for.
Q: What is the difference between honours, decorations and medals in the UK honours system?
honours, decorations and medals are different classes of awards?
do the owners of 'honours' get a related badge?or just a title of respect?
A: Depends how you look at the Honour System. Those who distinguish themselves through public service, sport, or charitable causes can be given an OBE (Order of the British Empire), MBE (Medal of the British Empire), or made a Lord or a Dame of the British Empire. If your really lucky you could progress to KCOBG or a a KCOBE and that is normally 4 the "elite" of society. You can even be a member of the House Of Lords if the PM says so, tho u would have do some serious butt kissing to get that!!!.
