Q: What's the most efficient way to sell craft supplies and books?
I'm ready once and for all to downsize my stash of craft books (mostly knitting, crocheting, cross stitch), magazines, and supplies. I'd like to know how others have succeeded and what they recommend. I've had limited success with Amazon, and am now considering Yahoo groups, eBay, blujay, and such. Ideas will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
A: There are also some great websites that allow you to trade books, CD's, DVD's etc. See my profile for link to titletrader and paperbackswap. This allows you to get rid of an item you no longer want and get something you do want in return. Titletrader is awesome because you can trade books, dvd's, cd's, games and vhs tapes. So if you get rid of a book you may be able to get a dvd in exchange. Paperbackswap is only for books. I have found that doing ebay or amazon is pricey cause you don't really get your money's worth for these items and you have to pay fees etc.

Q: Where could i buy scrapbooking and craft supplies in Bulk?
I live in San Jose, California and I was just wondering if anyone else from that area knows of places where i can buy supplies for scrapbooking and crafts in bulk. Or maybe you know of a website that sells things for cheap. Please help if you can! Thanks in advance!
A: Depending on what items you want and what you consider "bulk", it might be worth your while to set up wholesale accounts with individual manufacturing companies. Or you can find a local distributor for a bunch of companies. If you just want a less expensive site, you can try:
http://www.createforless.com/
And if you have a relationship with your lss, you might be able to get them to help you out.
Q: Does anyone have craft ideas using an assortment of items from various left over craft supplies?
I have a large tub of craft supplies from 13 years of Girl Scouting. We are doing our final camp out and I'd like to use up some of the supplies. I have yarn, floss, paints, foam pieces, fabric, popsicle sticks, glue, construction paper & probably some more odds 'n ends. The girls are 16-18. I'm looking for some ideas to use these up. Thanks in advance!
A: You might call some schools & see if they want these. I've donated stuff like this before & the schools are delighted to get them.
Q: craft supplies?
Does anyone know where I can find unfinished wood boxes to use for making shrines? Or a web site that sells wooden shrines to use for art purposes...
Thanks!
A: Michaels Craft store.
Q: Is it appropriate to sell craft supplies at craft shows?
Most times its people who are selling their own handmade craft items that go to craft shows. Would these people be angry if I were to sell supplies. Could it be seen as encouraging new people to start up in competition with them?
A: Most craft shows would not allow you to do this. Even non-juried shows have rules and they state that all items must be hand made or at least hand assembled. Otherwise, merchants such as yourself would eventually take over all the spaces and leave no where for the true artisan to display their hard work. A flea market or a trade show would be a more appropriate venue for your wares. The people who attend these shows are there to shop for gifts and to get ideas...they know where to go for supplies. The craft store!

Q: Are you like me when it comes to shopping for craft supplies?
Im mostly a scrapbooker and I buy more supplies then i know what to do with, but i like the feeling that i get them on sale, or clearance...I like to know that i have it whatever the supply might be that I need even though I may not use it for months after buying it...anyone else like that?
A: I used to be like that until I made an out of state move and was forced to downsize. Now I am more selective on my stash choices. Right now I am overstocked in random fabric because I am working on making drawstring bags for children in third world countries...these bags will keep the contents of their "shoeboxes" in tact.
