Q: any good sites or ideas about Christmas crafts?
Does anyone can help me? Im teaching 7 year old students arts and crafts.
A: http://christmas.123holiday.net/christmas_kid_crafts.html
Q: I need ideas for Christmas crafts to make and mail...?
We have made CDs of our favorite songs, pillow cases with words written in bleach pen, rice bags, beaded book marks. Would like something new that is lightweight and inexpensive (it gets put in with the other gifts).
A: What about putting clip art to use in a different way?
–You can make a Christmas stocking from 1) cloth and iron the clip art on by first printing on transfer paper 2) you can also make paper stockings as gift packets for flat items (like your bead bookmarks and candy canes)
–The same clip art can also be ironed onto a cute Christmas bottle bib. I don't know if you have a sewing machine.
– Or iron clip art onto inexpensive plain storebought serviettes –white or light color. (Like at Ikea)
–Then you can also use the clipart to print out matching serviette rings from paper
–Add some tree decorations (print clip art on cardstock) and tie on pretty ribbon to round things off. Gingham ribbon always looks nice and Christmassy. Ditto for the bottle bib.
–The decorations can also be in the form of a scent sachet in e.g. a heart shape. You can sew this by hand and
add some potpourri before you close up the last inch of the seam. A little scent goes a long way, so the sachets need not be bulky.
–Print your own chocolate wrappers for flat 1.55 oz bars and personalize them.
All these items will be light to post.
Hope it gives you some ideas.

Q: I need some fun crafts to do! What should I get my grandmother for Christmas this year. She loves to cook!
Hey, My Grandmother and I like to do crafts every year for Christmas. Like we would do some for my friends and family and we would also do alot of crafts for my brothers and sisters school! Well the thing is, is that my Grandmother (and Grandfather) does not have alot of money AT ALL! So please show me some really good crafts we ould do togther for Christmas. And please make them Christmas crafts. They could either be food, or with some items, or something for gifts ideas.
A: In regards to your grandmas Christmas present, perhaps you could buy her a copy of Margaret Fulton’s Encyclopaedia of Food and Cookery. It’s a fantastic cookbook with heaps of great recipes.
There are many inexpensive crafts you can do. For example, at your local craft store you can purchase stain glass sun-catcher kits for under $10.00. Or anther excellent idea is scrap booking. You can take the opportunity to reminisce and laugh about all your family stories. Basically, you buy a scrap book, and lots of stickers, glitter pens, paper cut-outs, etc. You can search through all those family photos and pick up the ones which have most meaning to you and your grandparents. You can then stick them in the scrapbook and decorate them, and perhaps even write a small blurb under each photo to remind you when it was taken, where it was taken etc.
This would be a excellent bonding experience and will leave your grandparents with a fabulous souvenir of your time spent together!
You could even take a photo of yourselves on the day you make the scrapbook and paste it on the last page for a finishing touch.
If you’re in Australia, visit Spotlight or Lincraft…They are very cheap and have heaps of ideas!

Q: Christmas Decorating/Crafts. Please help!! Will pick best answer!?
Okay, so... I need some ideas. LOVE christmas. I want to decorate my room and make it christmassy or d some christmas crafts. i dont have tons of money so if its something that doesn't require fancy items that would be great. So i need room decorating ideas or craft ideas! Thanks!!!
A: If you live in an urban area that has dollar stores, they usually have items that are in the Christmas theme, like Santa, snowmen, etc. It won't cost much to buy a bunch of items.
(I just picked up card holders, mugs, gift bags, ribbons, fancy bows, ornaments, etc.)
Dollar store buying tip: buy at least 2 of each type of item. But only buy things you think are cute/neat/cool/fun/perfect-for-this.
Also, tree ornaments don't have to be used on trees, you can arrange them randomly, have streams of ribbons leading between objects and fancy bows. Combine ornaments nesting in/with bows! Think layers!
If you can afford it, buy Christmas tree lights and string them around your windows, doors or furniture.
If you have a Party City store (a large party supply store) or similar, purchased confetti used judiciously can be a nice touch, too. Not the "traditional" paper confetti, there are really sparkley ones (mylar), multi-colored stars, etc. Also, Party City has streamers (!) and confetti.
Color scheme: generally red and green (festive); a red and black plaid can be incorporated too. Also, blue and white can be okay (think winter, snowflakes, pine cones).
If you have a craft store or floral store nearby, you can check out pine cones (with maybe sprigs of evergreen, if you don't want a wreath).
If you like candles, a couple pillar candles and small votives in various areas can be nice, especially if they are scented (pine, cookies, are in the theme).
If you want to go super cheap, then cut out pictures from magazine ads that are in the theme, string them up and hang. This also can be done with Christmas cards. (It's nice if they're hung from ribbon.) Ribbon is pretty inexpensive, esp. curling ribbon used for wrapping. Curling the ribbon helps a lot! (And is critical to making a ribbon nest.)
So . . . you could combine the ideas and make a "nest" of ribbon around a bowl that may hold ornaments, pine cones, a candle, or candy (candy canes, chocolate mints, whatever is wrapped in the theme). Sprinkle sparkley confetti in empty spaces (not on floor).
Step 1: analyze your room for where you want to put things, taking notes on how big a decorative item/display could be, and how many you would need.
Step 2: go to the stores (craft, party, floral, fabric!) and see what they have. (Fabric stores have printed fabric this time of year in the theme of Christmas.) At least go for the ideas, even if you don't like anything there. Just keep in mind: red/green, or blue/white.
Step 3: Get what you can, put everything in front of you, turn on the Christmas music, then start! It doesn't have to be well thought out and planned from the get-go, the process of figuring it out by placing things is the fun part!
Safety caution: candles and Christmas lights should only be lit when you are present.
Happy Holidays!

I making crafts merry christmas crafts.. where i can get it? I need help me!! due on Dec 19... plz.. let me know..
A: All you need is construction paper and scissors then have at it. Or just make them on the computer and print them. Merry Christmas!
Q: What are some good Christmas crafts that I can do?
A: You can make cinnamon ornaments. They smell great, and look pretty. Just mix together 1/2 cup applesauce and 1/2 cup cinnamon to form a dough. Roll out and cut into shapes, using cookie cutters if you have them. Use a straw to cut a hole for stringing later. Then let them air dry on a rack, or put them in the oven at 150-200F for a couple of hours. When they're dry, put some ribbon or string through the hole and hang them on the tree or use them as air fresheners!
Q: Any Christmas arts & crafts/fun activities my daughter can help me do?
We already decorated our Christmas tree, but I need more ideas. This is her first Christmas she can actually help me do things, and I want to make the best of it. So far she enjoys Christmas time a lot.
=)
Thank you!
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought I said it already. She is 2.
A: Old classic that never fails: Gingerbread houses.
You can get a little cutter kit at any drugstore (Long's, Rite Aid, etc.). Just find a good recipe and mix up a couple batches. Get enough M&Ms, red vines, jujubees, drops or dots, cinnamon mints or lemonheads, etc. Make up a bunch of royal icing or buy the stuff in the little tubes (homemade is better for you, of course)...and go to town!
She'll love it and will look forward to it every year!
Have a great holiday :D
Q: Christmas crafts for a one year old?
I'm a nanny for a one year old, and a 7 month old. I want to make some cute crafts for their parents. We tried at thanksgiving to make cards-- with their hands as the turkeys...but they're way too little to make good handprints. They want to squish and slide their fingers everywhere! Lol ... so what are some good age appropriate crafts I can do?? Thanks everyone!
If it helps the one year old is pretty advanced. I'd say more around 18 months or so.
A: - Get a peice of construction paper and let them dip their hands in washable paint then put their handprints on the paper. Put letters of white glue to spell their name and than put the paper in a rubbermaid tub and let them shake glitter all over it! My kids loved that one.
-The stockin idea is great. You can make a snack reindeer for them too, just need a rice krispie treat, pretzel sticks, raisins, and a red candy. use pretzels as antlers, raisins as eyes, and red candy for the nose.
-Coloring pictures is fun, and clean! You could have them bring in a picture of themselves and glue it to the top of a jar lid, add a string and there's a cute ornament.
-Use play dough to make little shapes, you can use christmas cooki cutters, put a hole in the top for a string. then let them dry out over night and then you can have them take their ornaments home!
If all else fails, just give them a crayon and paper and have them scribble on it. write merry christmas from whatever the kids name is!
The handprint ideas are the best. Moms love them! One year my son brought home a great Santa print they had done on blue felt. They painted his fingers white (beard), the middle of his palm pink (the face), and the base of his hand and thumb red (for the hat). They then glued a cotton ball (you could use a pompom) on the end of the thumprint.
wat they did for christmas in kindergarden for me was cutting out stars and putting our footprints on them!our stars were big not ornaments!but since they are smaller they probaly can get a smaller size of star. or you can get colored cotton balls and other decorations needed and cut out ginger breadmans and decorate them and in the bottom u can write their names or it can be bells trees snowmans angels and so on!! thats wat my mom did! have a great christmas and hopefully u find something that will be better for u and the kids!!
Q: Christmas crafts for a 20 month old?
I want my daughter to do something special for gifts to family memebers. She is only 20 months old. Any ideas? I want to mail it out as gifts. Also something very special for her father!
A: Don't think of it as a craft an older child could do...like mking reindeers etc..if you want something that is made truly by your her own her own..get some markers..colorfuil paper and have her color..or get glue and sparkles and let her glue sparkels..(be prepared for the picture to end yp being a huge pile of glue and a few sparkels..lol)
For art at that young age..it is the process of her doing that matters..not the end results. (you could take pics of her doing the craft to send along with notes.."hmm..needs more glue it seems" things like that with each picture. )..Or you could bake with her...let her do the stirring etc...
Q: Does anyone know of any CHRISTMAS crafts that I can do, using smelling essential oils? I tried to make rocks,
