Q: Why does only the bottom half of my fiber optic Christmas tree light up?
Just bought it. I checked and the light bulb in the base is not loose. Is there anything else I can do (besides return it)?
A: There must be some kind of physical connection issue. Maybe you're supposed to twist the top on to make the connections, or maybe there's a plug you've not yet spotted. Its got to be something like that, or the tree is defective. Damn Chinese can't make a tree that works, apparently.
Q: christmas tree + cat= ?
this is the first Christmas i will have with a cat so should i worry about her pulling the tree down, climbing up it, or ripping up presents underneath it? If so, how can i prevent his from happening? also i have an artificial tree with the fiber optic ends, is it possible she might eat it and what will happen if she does?
A: Our cats tear around the tree every year. Don't use tinsil (the little shiny stands) They will eat them. I have used fishing line to attached the tree to the wall & ceiling. It works really well & it can't be seen. My mom & dads cat chewed the same string of lights for 7 years, got a hell of a shock each time & never learned his lessen. We just fixed it with elec. tape. He lived to a ripe old age of 17, & loved evey minute of it. I have a ton of cute pics of him & my current cats in the tree. Try not to put expensive glass ornaments near the bottom. Hope this helps ya.
Q: how can i decorate my bedroom for christmas?
i love christmas and wanna decorate my bedroom for christmas.
i've got a 36 inch fiber optic tree. whats some cheap tasteful things i can buy? thanks
A: Christmas lights are always fun. You can string these around your room or decorate the inside of your windows. Also, tie a string to two points in your room and attached Christmas cards that you received during the next few weeks. You can appreciate the artwork of the cards. Have fun!
Q: christmas decorations site?
Im looking for a good online store for christmas decorations, specifically tree toppers, artificial trees, and dinnerware, somewhere that has either really good prices or free shipping. Ive already tried overstock and Amazon. Im really looking for a white christmas tree or a fiber optic one.
A: shopping.yahoo.com
lillianvernon.com
Q: xmas tree crisis, baby will only be 10 months old?
What have you decided to do about your christmas tree? Mine is artificial and 6ft and takes two hours to put up with all the lights and beads etc. I know it will be down in 2 seconds if my daughter grabs hold of it.
I've thought about putting the tree in a playpen but changed my mind.
A fiber optic tree stuck on top of the tv is my best idea at the moment!
What are your plans this year?
lol Melissa. I thought of this too. At the moment I say no to my daughter and she just copies me and shakes her head (so obviously i must be shaking my head while saying no) the tree must be supervised at all times when the baby is near it!
A: I know you decided not to do the play pen...but you could decorate it and make it look like a welcome gate (like to a house) or just have fun decorating it
Q: How do i get pesky, painful, fiber optic cable splinters out?
My dad brought home an innocent looking fiber optic cable from work today. He said to be careful, but I figured that there was a fiber optic "wire" inside that was like the harmless ones on our Christmas tree. Apparently not.
I got an incredibly painful and deep fiber optic splinter in the tip of my index finger and touching my finger in the associated area causes pain and a tingling sensation. By far the most painful splinter I have ever had.
I have disposed of the offending cable and now cannot find any possible way to get the splinter out. I don't know how long it is, it may be very small, it could be up to a quarter inch in length.
Also, I am scared to death of getting a splinter that has fallen onto my desk, carpet, or clothing stuck into me somewhere else.
What is the fastest way to remove the splinter? I am required to use my hands dexterously in my job and there is no way I can function in my current state of pain. Also, I can't tape or tweez it out. It is under the skin.
A: ichthammol ointment/salve. It should be available at a drugstore. It draws things out from under the skin. I used this to get an embedded cactus spine out of my foot once. Will not work instantly, but doesn't take too long. For other potential splinters lurking in your work area, try going over the area with tape...
Q: What kind of Christmas tree do you like best?
A) Real
B) Fake
C) Fiber Optic
A: I have a fiber optic tree. I love the ever changing colours and you never have to buy decorations for it either and it does last for years.
Q: Does anyone else have Christian family members who don't really celebrate the Christain holidays anymore?
Like my family is Christian, we get together on Christmas to exchange gifts and have dinner , but that's about all. They don't decorate all out like they used to, they've even gone from a ceiling-high tree to a two foot fiber optic tree. None of them celebrate Easter except at my young cousins' houses. And my family used to go ll out. Lights all over the property, Easter eggs, etc. When I started growing up and losing interest, my whole immediate family tapered off on celebrations until they're almost non-existent. Anyone else experienced this?
Sorry for the typos. I am on someone else's second hand computer and it's a little slow.
A: Me. My mom must be the only person who tries to celebrate the christian holidays. My other family members don't.
