Q: How smart am I? I have already put up my 2007 Christmas tree and decorations! Pretty smart, eh?
Every year retailers try to pre-empt Thanksgiving, and even Halloween now, by putting up their Xmas decorations, and sales propaganda. Well this year I have outsmarted them all. I have purchased and put up all of my 2007 christmas display this year, so that next year they will lose money when I don't buy their stuff. How smart am I? You should all do this to, and then we will really show them who is the smartest.
A: ok let me understand you . you have two trees up in your home now one is for this year 2006 and the other is for the next year xmas 2007 why not just leave the 2006 tree up year round
Q: When should you put up your Christmas tree and decorations?
A: We've been putting up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving for all of the 16 years we have been a family. We always go to the Christmas tree farm, pick out our tree, see the "reindeer," and get hot cider. I love our tradition, the kids look so forward to it (even as teenagers now) and it warms my heart just thinking of it coming so soon.
This begins our decorating for inside the house. It will take us all weekend to finish. We did, however, put up the outside lights yesterday because it was the best day this week for weather. We only turned them on to test them but we will turn them on permanent, the day after Thanksgiving.

Q: Original Christmas Tree Decorations?
Any suggestions on how to decorate this year´s Christmas Tree?
My husband wants it colorfull and I prefer it classic 2 color and/or unique.....
any ideas?
A: try stringing life savers on fishing line. they catch the lights very nicely, and they're yummy to boot! make it a candy theme, with candy canes, cookies and other favorite sweets. i myself prefer theme-less trees. just stick on as many lights and ornaments as you can. the gaudier, the better. merry christmas!
Q: when do you put up your Christmas decorations and Christmas tree?
A: I usually put mine up some time after Thanksgiving, although I have waited until the week before Christmas. It depends on how much Christmas spirit I have. I saw some houses this past week in my area that have already decorated for Christmas and even have their trees put up. Personally I think that's a bit much a week before Halloween!!!
Q: how many days after christmas should one remove christmas decorations and the christmas tree? many thanks!?

Have you put water in the tree today? Trees can go through a gallon of water a day, don't let them dry out and become a fire hazard.
Did you know that holly and mistle toe are poisonous? Careful around pets and children. Also pointsettia plants are a danger.
Do you light candles? Please make sure those are in a safe place and alway extinguised before going to bed.
Let's make this holiday a safer one. : )
If you have any other tips, please post.
A: thanks

Q: can anyone tell me what is Christmas and a Christmas tree?
my family hates Christmas because it is witchcraft to them,we have never ever celebrated it,i have no idea what this thing called Christmas is,is it something you eat,I need to know what the following are
1)Christmas presents
2)Christmas tree, decorations, nativity, gifts, wrapping thing that gifts are wrapped in.
A: Christmas is a holiday that occurs every year on December 25th and is celebrated by Christians and most of the Western world. Its traditions are both secular and religious in nature.
Christmas can find its origins in the pagan Roman solstice celebrations of Saturnalia, Juvenalia (with its emphasis on children) and the birth of Mithras, child of the unconquerable sun supposedly born December 25th. These celebrations included feasting, the exchange of gifts, and evergreen boughs. Many cultures featured evergreens as part of their solstice celebrations. The evergreen came to symbolize the coming spring, and was sometimes seen as a promise from the gods that spring would thaw the cold and snow-covered world. Germany is generally credited with bringing a full tree indoors instead of just boughs, and Martin Luther is credited with decorating a tree with candles in an attempt to recreate a scene he witnessed while passing through a forest. As Germans emigrated around the world, so too did their traditions and the German husband of Queen Victoria put up a tree at the palace.
In the 4th century AD, the Church decided to cement its popularity with the people and gain converts by adopting the Roman solstice celebrations and giving them a new spin. It was decided to honor the birth of Christ on December 25th even though the Bible gives no date for his birth. Most scholars agree that Christ was probably born in the spring, since shepherds don't tend their flocks in the fields on cold December nights (a key point of the story of the Nativity).
A quick synopsis of the story of the Nativity: Joseph and Mary are traveling and Mary, a virgin having been impregnated by God, is about to give birth. They stop in Bethlehem and are told the inn is full, but they could sleep in the manger. Jesus is born, animals gather to witness, three wise men from the east arrive bearing gifts for the child having been lead to him by a bright star in the sky, and angels appear to shepherds in the field to announce the birth.
Modern secular traditions of Christmas include the tree, ornaments and decorations, the giving of gifts, and Santa Claus - a mythical figure said to pop down chimneys to fill the stockings of good boys and girls with gifts. Other countries and cultures have different versions of a gift-giving figure from Father Christmas to Bobo Natale.
