Q: How can I make my own photo cards?
I want to send a christmas card to my friend. I only need one card so i don't want to buy photo cards through snapfish or sites like that. I have a photo printer. How can i make my own christmas card?

A: If you have photoshop or a photo editing program, download some Christmas art. 1. Load the picture you want to print. 2. Open the art -- make sure it's the right size and same resolution and file size. 3. Drag the art onto your photo and clean around it --you can use the eraser and the selector to cut. 4. Type some text on the the photo. 5. Flatten the image and print!

Q: is it tacky to send out christmas cards with your photo on them?

A: I actually think it's a great idea, but I would only send them to family and close friends. If they are people that you really care about, I think they would love to have a photo of you.

Q: How much nudity is appropriate when sending out Christmas photos in Christmas cards.....♥ I'm just planning?
ahead.....

A: as much as you want...i cant wait to get my card from you

Q: what would be a good idea for a christmas family photo?
Every year my husband and I like to send out photo holiday cards for Christmas. What would be a good idea? Last year we had our two dogs in front of the house with the holiday wreathe.

A: Sit everyone down in front of the christmas tree or a burning fire place with jeans, a long sleeve white t shirt and a santa hat on and all of the santa hats can have everyone's name written across the front with fabric paint. if you did it in front of the fire place, you could also have stockings up around them. If you live somewhere tropical or where its warm for the winter (like southern california or florida) you could have every one wear their bathing suits and go in front of a pool or the beach and take a picture there and have a sign or something that says "Merry Christmas from (place where you are)!" both are good ideas (in my opinion!) hope i helped.

Q: Which on-line photo company is the best? (Please respond only if you have personally had photo cards printed.)
I am looking to have an on-line photo company do our Christmas/photo cards but don't want to spend the money on a bunch of cards when I have no idea what the finished result would be. Have any of you had any experience with "vistaprint," "winkflash," and the like? (Please respond only if you have personally had photo cards printed.) Thanks! : )

A: I'm a pro and use Millers Professional Lab, but they have a site for amatuers too, called MPix. They do a great job and are quick.

Q: creative picture for christmas cards?
what would be creative and unique for five kids in a christmas card photo?

A: Try something with the theme from "The Twelve Days of Christmas". They would be the five golden rings. You can probably make the rings from wreath forms and spray paint or ribbon. You could put their manes on the rings if they hold them. Dress them in green and pose them in a triangle like a tree (3 kids on bottom row, 2 in middle and 1 on top. You can decorate them, perhaps add a few poinsettias, or take the pictures in the woods with real trees for the background. Put on Santa hats and pose on surfboards at the beach. Or on snowboards in the mountains, depending on where you live. Dress one like Santa and the other four can be reindeer pulling a sleigh. Dress them in overalls and flannel shirts and have them pull a wagon with their just-cut Christmas tree on it. That would be great as sepia tone. Wrap them in boxes like presents and put them under (or around) the tree. (Of course, cut an opening for their faces or heads to show!) If you're religious, do a nativity scene with them as the characters. With five children it makes the shooting more difficult, but the asthetics and poses can be more varied than with just one or two children, odds are somehow more pleasing to the eye in arrangements than evens are. You don't say how old the kids are. If you have young babies and toddlers, it will limit the things you can do in posing and attention span. So have everything ready, and go at a good time of day when everyone is rested, fed, and as happy as possible. It would be great if you have a helper, especially if there are young children involved. It sounds like fun, I wish I could help!

Q: Senior graduation pictures with Christmas cards. Yay or nay?
I'm a high school graduate and I recieved my senior pictures this October. I don't really know what the ettiquete for giving pictures is but I was planning on including a wallet sized photo inside all the Christmas cards I'll mail out. Is that an appropriate thing to do? As a matter of fact, how do you send family and friends photos of yourself? Is it wierd to give your best friends a picture of yourself?

A: I think it's totally fine. My family has received lots of senior pictures included in Christmas cards, and it is always nice to see how everyone looks, especially if you don't get a chance to see that person a lot. Christmas is probably a good excuse to send some senior pictures out, that or the announcement of your graduation would be fine as well. It totally isn't weird to give your best friends a picture of yourself, in fact, they'll probably appreciate it, especially after graduation when your lives tend to branch off into separate areas.

Q: Any good programs to create Christmas cards with custom photos?
I'm interested in creating my own Christmas cards with family pictures included in the design, does anyone know any good programs to do this?

A: The best I have found is Art Explosion Greeting card factory, as far as dedicated programs go. You could also use Photo Impact 12 or Adobe Elements 5 ... a bit more work though, as these are general graphics programs, not specifically greeting card programs.

Q: Ideas for a Christmas photo...?
My boyfriend and I want to take those tacky "Merry Christmas" photo cards and send them out to our families. We want to do something fun and funky,... yet still involving Christmas, obviously. We're young and we want our families to laugh for the most part. Any suggestions on what we should do? We'd like to get them professionally done.

A: Take a few normally then you could take a few in some ugly grandma looking christmas sweaters and grin really big and cheesey I think that'd make them laugh.

Q: Do I look pretty in this christmas photo?
choosing photos for christmas cards and I want to know do I look pretty in this pic..1-10 10 being the best uhh blonde moment there... http://i312.photobucket.com/albums/ll329/gfts13/greeneyes.jpg

A: YES!!! you look very pretty

Q: photo cards?
i bought a digital camera a few months back and thought it would be nice to make my own christmas photo cards.. im having difficulty thinking of a picture that i can do. any ideas that doesn`t involve children or pets would be great as i dont have either... thank you

A: wear a certain color and then go against an all white or green background and take your picture then use photo shop (my dad taught me how to do this, he's a professional photogopher) to take just you from the picture and put it on a picture with snow or something christmassy

Q: I am looking for Christmas cards that holds 3 1/2 x 5" photo at a reasonable price - any suggestions?

A: Another suggestion than the previous post: I just received a card that had a photo glued to a colored piece of cardstock. They had written a heading above the picture and put their names below it. Two holes were punched in the cardstock on the left side, and a ribbon was drawn through them. How about that for a nice Christmas photo card that you can make yourself? You could use the largest size of colored notecards and not have to cut cardstock. go to www.finestationery.com and click on "holiday" in the top banner, then click on "photo cards" on the left, then click on "$" under "price" on the left side and you'll see their cheaper choices. I am pretty sure you can use either 3 1\2 x 5 or 4 x 6 prints, but you might want to call them (the toll free number is at the bottom of their web site) to make sure.

Q: Which lucky politician...should I send a photo Christmas Card of the newly shaven Britney Spears close up?
Do you think Mr and Mrs Bill Clinton would enjoy one....or how about our favorite....ANNE COULTIER.....anyone else....how about BIN LADEN should I send one to him too...just to piss him off......just a joke...people...no hate mail....xxxooo consider it a done deal...

A: How can I get my address to you? LOL....Pelosi or the 'honorable' Bill and Hilary Clinton.............

Q: When the holidays are over, what do you do with Christmas cards?
I'm mostly talking about the photo cards - usually with people's kids on them. Do you keep them or toss them?

A: Keep the photos and put them in an album. Label them if they're not already labeled and label the album, Friends & their families or something you would like.

Q: Where to get specialized Christmas cards?
This year for Christmas, we've decided to do things differently and add the family photo on the card. Where would I go to get this done? Is there a paricular place I can go or does it has to be done online? I'll prefer to be directed to a company who does it so I could actually talk to someone and see different designs.

A: You don't say where you live so I couldn't look up local stationery stores for you, but most discount stores' photo labs (Walgreens, Target, Walmart) offer this service. Otherwise, you might want to look for local dealers for Carlson Craft, Birchcraft, or Regency cards (Party City discounts them.)
